Easy Chicken Stir Fry
  • 3 chicken breasts, cut into large cubes
  • 3 heaping Tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ⅔ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 4-5 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • 1½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes {optional}
  • 1 bunch broccoli, florets only
  • a couple handfuls of snow peas
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 lb noodles cooked to al dente
  • vegetable or other light oil
  • scallions to garnish
  1. Add a little bit of water to a wok or large skillet. Place a streamer basket in and place the veggies on there. Cover and steam cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, until the veggies are tender. Set aside.
  2. Mix the flour, salt and garlic powder. Toss the chicken pieces in the seasoned flour.
  3. Heat the wok up again and add enough oil to cover the bottom. Cook the chicken in small batches until golden. Set aside. Add oil as needed.
  4. Whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ground ginger and crushed red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
  5. Cook the pasta and drain.
  6. Add the sauce to the wok and cook for 3 minutes. Toss in the chicken and cook for a couple more minutes. Add in the veggies and noodles. Toss to coat.
  7. Finish with sliced scallions.
