This is such a fun twist on the traditional chicken marsala and a really nice way to fancy up a meatloaf. The sauce is so incredibly easy to make but the flavor is wonderful! A favorite in our house!

Chicken is great! A lean protein that will take on whatever flavor you like. This marinade is full of garlic, fresh and dried herbs and lemon. Perfect basic chicken marinade.

Steak Carnitas

This dish was honestly one of my favorite meals this year. Its easy thanks to the slow cooker, the meat is incredibly tender, the sweet peppers and the cilantro rice… its perfection!

Chicken thighs are such a great budget friendly cut of meat. They tend to keep their moisture much better then breasts.

Do we see a pattern? Slow cooker recipes got a lot of loving! My slow cooker got so much use this year {especially the week my stove was broke} that the handle melted off! This classic Italian soup comes together so easily and is such a wonderful comfort soup!
